    Payroll & Benefits Coordinator w Strong Accounting Exp.

    Responsibilities:

    Payroll


    Oversee documentation and administering W-4 and I-9 Forms.
    Perform background checks.
    Maintain payroll, personnel and benefit files.
    Collect, review and process weekly timesheets.
    Calculate and review payroll (including voluntary and involuntary deductions) to ensure accuracy.
    Distribute checks
    Update and maintain paid time off records and provide quarterly statements to staff.
    Reconcile IRS Form 941 to general ledger quarterly.
    Prepare quarterly unemployment tax forms.
    Perform annual salary and benefit budget projections.
    Provide employment verifications.
    Oversee Workers’ Compensation audit.
    Administer union dues.

    Benefits


    Communicate benefits program to newly hired and/or newly eligible employees upon enrollment
    Administer benefit plans including: medical, dental, life, disability, travel accident, and retirement plans.
    Prepare schedules for pension plan related to IRS Form 5500.
    Reconcile billing statements from insurance and other vendors
    Conduct annual open enrollment: organize benefit information and forms for eligible employees.
    Administer COBRA
    Oversee all benefits forms and materials.
    Conduct periodic audits

    Education, Skills and Experience Required:

    · Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred. Associates degree required.

    · Minimum of 5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience.

    · Must have strong mathematical ability and knowledge of ADP payroll system.

    · Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
